Practise English Pronunciation with Luke (videos + worksheets)
This is a classic! I made this video program in 1997 and am still using the same techniques to improve my trainees' pronunciation - especially effective in correcting fossilised errors.
Many teachers use this 2 hour pronunciation course in their classrooms with their students to improve pronunciation. It shows how to teach all the difficult English sounds such as “th”, “l” and “r” and all vowels in 12 lessons. The sounds are explained with hand movements and close-ups and then practised extensively with an easy-to-use workbook.
You will also hear many, sometimes funny, real-life stories about other people who had difficulties with pronunciation. This will help your students avoid the same mistakes.
You will enjoy the great teaching and lots of practice! No preparation, except copying the workbook pages for your students and turn on the video.
“I have used Luke’s way of teaching pronunciation for many years and have found it very effective – especially the use of hands to explain sounds.”
Hanne Sharpe. ESL teacher Denmark and Australia
“I am 64 and now learning English. The video explains the difficult sounds like ‘th’, so I can understand. And I can study by myself.”
Sjors Penning, New immigrant from the Netherlands
“Now I can say ‘lice’ and ‘rice’, ‘past’ and ‘fast’ and ‘think’ clearly. People understand me much better.”
James Chan, ESL student from Korea
